The Difference Between Information and Formation

Information tells you what is happening. Formation changes who you are.

A Christian who is informed about the culture is concerned. A Christian who is formed for the culture is dangerous — to every force that depends on the faithful staying silent, staying home, and staying out of the rooms where decisions get made.

The Guardians' Cross is not in the information business. We are in the formation business. Everything we produce — every devotional, every analysis, every community we build — exists to forge the kind of person who carries the Cross — not just on Sunday, but into every room, every arena, and every corner of culture the week demands.
